Real talk: your logo is not a photo
I see this constantly. A business uploads their logo as their only Google Business Profile photo and considers it handled. A logo is not what customers are looking for when they scroll through your listing photos. They want to see the actual place, the actual work, the actual people.
What to post
Your storefront or workspace (so people recognize it when they arrive). Your team (so they know who’s showing up). Recent work (before-and-afters, finished projects, plated food, whatever your business produces). Anything that answers “what will this actually look and feel like.”
What to skip
Stock photos (obvious and trust-killing). Blurry phone photos in bad lighting (better than stock but barely). Screenshots of your website (they can already see your website). Inspirational graphics with text overlays (this isn’t Instagram circa 2015).
How many
Start with at least 10 real photos. Add new ones every month. A profile with 3 photos from two years ago reads as dormant, and dormant listings lose to active ones every time.
Now go answer your phone.
