The technical thing worth understanding once

Schema markup sounds intimidating, but the idea’s simple, it’s a way of labeling your content so search engines understand exactly what it is, not just guessing.

What it actually does

It can help your business show up with extra detail in search results, star ratings, hours, pricing, directly in the listing before someone even clicks. It also helps Google understand your business type, location, and services more precisely.

Where it matters most

Local business schema, review schema, and service schema are the ones that actually move the needle for a small business. You don’t need to worry about the hundreds of other types that exist.

You don’t have to code it yourself

Most modern SEO plugins handle the technical side. The real work is making sure the information behind it, your hours, your address, your categories, is accurate, since schema just reflects what you’ve already set up.
