You can grab a $500 “redesign” from some kid freelancing overseas. You’ll get a site that looks fresh for about a week until the broken plugins and bad hosting catch up. Or you can hire a pro team, spend more upfront, and have a site that lasts, ranks, and pays for itself.
What Drives the Price
Scope – Are you swapping colors and fonts, or rebuilding structure, UX, and SEO?
Content – Writing, images, and migration take time. Don’t assume content just “appears.”
Features – E-commerce carts, booking systems, custom integrations – all add cost.
Quality – A real agency factors in hosting, security, and scalability.
Real Numbers
$1,000 or less: A facelift. Expect DIY vibes, broken SEO, and a short lifespan.
$3,000-$5,000: Professional redesign for a small business site (5-10 pages). Solid foundation, SEO baked in, responsive design.
$10,000+: Custom builds, enterprise features, ongoing support.
One of our clients went cheap first, paid $900. Six months later, they came back after their site broke during an update. We rebuilt for $3,000, and within 90 days, the new site paid for itself in leads.
